Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a condition that has a fairly high recurrence rate (~30-50%). But did you know there are certain risk factors that make some of us more susceptible to BPPV recurrence than others?
Most of these risk factors all come down to a reduction in blood flow to our vestibular system which results in a release of our crystals. And more loose crystals means increased chances of BPPV.
It is important to talk to your healthcare provider if you are dealing with recurring BPPV to understand more about these risk factors and how you can address them. Living with recurring BPPV doesn't have to be an option!
